So, as you can see, I was the person to recreate the Rauru’s Return layout. There was nothing even wrong with the first one. But in the fast paced world of Zelda, the fans like to see new layouts, and often. Why? I’ll never know, but what the fans want, the fans get.
Rauru’s Return is a growing Zelda website that is currently serving over two hundred unique visitors a day (according to statistics taken on December 2nd 2005). In the world of Zelda, that’s a good number of people. Yet, the visits keep on coming. Which is why I really had to be wary of the file sizes of the images. Even though the majority of the users are actually on broadband or higher, they still want an instant loading of a page.
I went back down to support 800×600 screen resolution this time. Simply because 40% of all web users use this resolution, and that is too high of a percentage to ignore in the ever changing times of the Internet.
As you can see from the screencapture, the website is still as bright as ever, which keeps people happy.
