This is Rauru’s Return. This is the only piece of work that I create that is not coding standards. The reasoning behind this move is because it is and will forever be, my first project. Back when I started this website, I knew nothing of webdesign at all. All I knew was that I wanted to start a website.
Rauru’s Return is a growing Zelda website. It servers thousands of people monthly for their Zelda news. The layout is forever changing and was handcrafted by me, alone.
The design of Rauru’s Return is slightly different from what I would usually allow. It’s a fixed width layout, which means that it will only work for certain resolutions, in this case I’ve designed Rauru’s Return for 1024×768 and higher. The reasoning behind this is that fluid layouts within that community are not appreciated, and the standards of that community have to be followed, otherwise you will fail.
As you can see from the screencapture on the left, Rauru’s Return is a very bright layout. This reflects the style of the website itself. It is not uptight, it’s very fun. This the aim of the entire community, not just the staff members there.
