Welcome to my blog and portfolio. I write about standards compliant web design and anything else that comes to mind!

Hi all,
well, today I finally moved over to our new server. So if there was any emails sent during that period, then I’ve not actually received them. I’ve had the server switch on the line all day, so that’s the 5th December.

Other than that, this place has been so dead it’s not even legal anymore. This is simply because I didn’t really know what to write. I thought at first that this place could be just a place for webdesign, but that’s really not going to work. So I’m going to have to attack all of your with my thoughts on larger matters as well.

Anyway, if you head on over to my Portfolio section, you’ll see that I’ve remodelled Rauru’s Return again. This is great as it means that I can stretch my creativity a little bit further; furthermore, there’s also a new site to go up into the portfolio when I’ve completed it, which is imminent.

I’ve also submitted a design to CSS Zen Garden, I don’t know if it’ll get accepted or not. Even if it does not, I’m still dead happy with it. Simply because it’s something a little different for me. When I get the email back stating yay or nay, I’ll show it to you all.

Finally, there’ll be a little rant about Firefox. The new version, well, I’m dead chuffed with it in reality. There’s little I can really mention to fault it.

I love the new organisation of tabbed browsing, I love the way that the RSS feed indicator has been moved away from the bottom to the URL bar. I’m also incredibly greatful that they’ve removed the disgusting borders that they had up within the Favourites/Bookmarks menu in the beta stages. They were truly horrific.

I’m incredibly pleased with what they’ve done.

However, Thunderbird on the other hand has been left to rot, and I’m not impressed with that at all. They really need to pull their fingers out on that one. It’s a great Mail Client, they just need to take it that step further and make it the only Mail Client to use.
