Welcome to my blog and portfolio. I write about standards compliant web design and anything else that comes to mind!

Yes, that seems to be the buzzword to create hate, anger and almost every other emotion that you can think of at the moment. People simply hate them at the moment. I’m not really suprised to be honest. At best they’ve done some questionable moves, at worst, they’ve destroyed their future reputation.

Chitika actually have a fabulous idea behind them though. I am actually using Chitika at the moment, they’ve been consistantly higher than my adsense revenue have been in reality. However, this does not negate the fact that their cuts initially have been rather hard. I’m not a fan of what they’ve done in the past; however, if they continue to process things at their current speed, then I’m going to be very happy with them.

As I’m not a US citezen, I’ve been unable to use YPN, otherwise I’d’ve jumped at the chance to use them. So I’ve kept myself happy with some Google and Chitka ads. Chitka have managed to do two audits in one go, and pay out for one as well. Which I was impressed with to be honest with you, although they really should have done it that bit faster. They’re not attempting to remove some of the poorer clicks everyday before posting their details.

Yet, they’ve still warned us that they may not pay us that amount as they’re still going to be doing audits regardless. This makes little sense to me in my mind, why do the job twice? Alas, one step forward, two steps back.

As ads aren’t really my revenue and my sites don’t rely on them, it’s OK for me to experiment with ad networks. However, I really feel for those people who do have to put up with them as a staple.

  1. It’s very beautifully.
